Dock Committee
Have you noticed the improvements to the wooden docks at the boat ramp? Hopefully you have. The docks were rebuilt earlier this summer by a group of Tall Pines residents who volunteered their time and tools over many Friday and Monday mornings to complete the project.
A typical Friday morning work session would start with a “carbohydrate load” at the Mineral Diner, followed by a morning of work, sweat and good fellowship at the docks. The project was completed professionally and safely without disrupting boat ramp activity…..and no one accidently fell in the water. Those involved in the project were: Chuck Emeigh, Herman Henriksen, Jim Lyon, Carl McAllister, Phil Nicoll and Gus Risso.
Thank you for all your hard work, gentlemen. The docks look great!
Tall Pines Residents In the News!
Talls Pines residents have recently been spotlighted in two local publications.
Louisa Life, a local free monthly, featured a wonderful article called, “He Makes It Look Easy” by Tall pines resident Linda Salisbury about fellow resident Jim Lyon. The article discusses Jim’s love of music, his generosity in sharing his gift, and a brief history about his family. The article appears here with the permission of Louisa Life.
